I am proud to endorse Converse County Commissioner Robert Short for Wyoming Secretary of State. Robert is a three‑term Converse County Commissioner with a proven record of delivering for his community, including overseeing the new Justice Center in Douglas and key infrastructure, broadband, and emergency‑services improvements in Converse County. He currently serves as vice president of the Wyoming County Commissioners Association, where he has focused on protecting Wyoming's natural resource interests and improving outcomes for residents across the state. A lifelong Wyomingite, Robert was raised in Glenrock and now lives in Douglas. He studied computer science and electrical engineering at the Denver Institute of Technology, built a career in technology and nuclear science, and returned home to Wyoming in 2005. That background gives him real‑world experience and technical competence that will serve the Secretary of State's office well. Robert has made clear that election integrity and public trust will be his top priorities as Secretary of State. He has experience as an election judge and a deep respect for county clerks, their staff, and volunteers who work to ensure Wyoming's elections are fair, honest, and accurate. I’ve been the beneficiary of good service from the Office of the Wyoming Secretary of State for 30 years in my law practice. As a citizen, I’ve depended on the good judgment of the Wyoming Secretary of State in that person’s role on the State Lands and Investments Board and other statewide governing boards. While the staff of the current Secretary has maintained good service to the legal and business communities, the Secretary has done a poor job in his duties on the statewide boards on which he sits.
